Who are we?
Villa Clementina is an inclusive daycare center for young children with and without limitations in a homely atmosphere and a green surrounding.For whom are we there?
We provide daily room for 25 children between zero and six years of age of whom eight need additional care. Children with severe multiple limitations are also welcome. Many of the children are enrolled on a part-time bases, thanks to this we can provide room for 47 children of whom 15 need additional care.
What do we do?
Living and playing together, growing and flourishing together, discovering the world together and most of all savoring it together! We want to provide a safe environment where every child, independent of their care needs, development issues or other socio-economic-cultural differences, get every chance possible to flourish. In our villa we have a warm and homely atmosphere where a professional multidisciplinary team works hand in hand with 30 volunteers. Some of our volunteers even need additional care.
From the start we also invested in an educational project for our children that need additional care and that are of school age. We work together with Windekind Leuven, a school for extraordinary education, and schools from the neighborhood. We receive from the ministry of education an experimental allowance for the school year 2016-2017 to develop this further.
In addition to this we are building an inclusive leisure center for young and old with or without limitations. Our petting zoo opened in June 2013 and you can also go there for hippotherapy. This summer we started to plant an experience garden.
